The “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” writer and actor Charlie Day spoke at Merrimack College Commencement Ceremony this week. His speech was effortless, funny and filled with truths/wisdom that young people need to hear more often. He ended the speech with this piece of advice:
“Don’t wait for your break, make your break. Go make it happen for yourself.”
We cannot wait for other people to do things for us, or put us in the right place at the right time. We must always be working toward our future, even when it seems unknown and impossible. This can be said of so many things in life…from our careers to our personal relationships, from our setbacks to our triumphs.
